What data the extension handles

The extension reads limited website content from the current Zillow or Redfin property page, including school names shown on the listing and the current page URL, in order to determine the property city and display school ratings on that page.

The extension also stores a temporary page-level dismissal state in the browser session so that, if you close the ratings panel, it stays hidden for that page in that tab session.

What data the extension does not collect

The extension does not require an account.

The extension does not collect or transmit personal information to our servers.

The extension does not collect payment information, health information, authentication information, personal communications, or user-entered form data.

The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party data brokers.

How data is used

Any page data accessed by the extension is used only to provide the extension's single purpose: displaying school ratings based on statewide test scores on Zillow and Redfin property pages.

The California school ratings dataset is bundled with the extension and is read locally by the extension.
